Beijing Key Laboratory of Internet Culture and Digital Dissemination Research

 

The Beijing Key Laboratory of Internet Culture and Digital Dissemination Research was established on July 19, 2010 authorized by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission.

 

The research of the laboratory is centered on information technology and based on internet technology and studies the key technologies and systems that support and promote network culture.

 

The main research directions of the laboratory include: network culture and information technology, network search engines and data mining, network public opinion analysis and management, network digital dissemination and composite publication, and content-based information security. The major research subjects include intelligent search engine techniques, multimedia and cross-media content retrieval techniques, Chinese language information processing techniques, document mining and knowledge discovery techniques, digital content management techniques, document information processing techniques, relationship between information technology and network culture, and non-structural information retrieval techniques.

 

This laboratory depends on two key laboratories established by central government and local government: the Computer Open System Laboratory (established in 2002) and the Computer Software Open Laboratory (established in 2004).
